Over time, it has become customary to tip the dealers at various casino tables, simply because the players have enjoyed their service or have been feeling particularly lucky.

At certain casinos, tipping the dealer is considered part of the gambling etiquette. Just as you can tip the dealer at a blackjack table, you can do the same at the roulette table. Here’s how to do it, it isn’t hard and you will feel good afterwards.

Considering the Amount You Want to Tip

Considering the Amount You Want to Tip

Before you do anything you might regret, consider the level of the game you are playing. A VIP player can afford to tip more regularly and more generously.

An average player will tip within the extents of his budget, and there is nothing wrong with that. Try to estimate the appropriate amount, having in mind the size of your bet for each spin and the table minimum.

Once you have decided how much you wish to tip, you can wait for the round to end to give the dealer the intended amount. Unlike in blackjack, where you can place a bet for the dealer, here it is best to give the money to the croupier directly.

But, be careful not to hand the dealer the chips, like literally hand them over. You are expected to put them on the table because the casinos often frown upon dealer getting chips that are meant to benefit the house.

When the time comes, instead of handing the dealer the tip, simply put the chips on the table outside of the betting area and say they are for the dealer.

Make sure you place the tip close to the dealer and outside of the roulette betting board. That is pretty much all there is to it. You will make the dealer happy and improve the ambience at the table.

You can also tip the dealers that are operating roulette wheels at an online casino. Live casino providers have made it possible through the game interface for the players to tip their dealers if they want to. This is, of course, not obligatory.

You can tip when you are feeling fortunate or happy because you’ve won or the dealer was exceptionally polite, friendly or funny.

There should be a special button for tipping the dealer somewhere along the screen borders. Click on it and enter the amount you want to tip. The sum will be deducted from your balance.

The dealer will thank you, just like in a land-based casino.
